*Predominantly seen in the Obsidian Archival Footage, the maze is representative of the Bastards Journey to Obsidian.

*Similar to the water, it’s an obstacle in their path.

*The maze shows how the journey to finding individuality isn’t straightforward, but instead requires many re-routes.

*In the maze, the brothers are separated, most likely signifying how during their own journey, they each have their own struggles. Although they all have the same end goal, finding themselves and freeing themselves from the grips of Lieseil, their personal messages are different. This sends us the message that it is alright if we have a different rate of progress from others, because we are not the same people.

*This is also the origin of the one of the names for the brothers, the Lost Boys.
