*’Your talking minds are on the floor, I never know what to listen for, Yeah, as the lines light the floor, And arrows point to the hidden door’

If you speak your mind, you say firmly and honestly what you think about a situation. This could mean that they are not speaking their minds because they have been brainwashed and manipulated. This results in them not knowing what is true (what to listen for). The hidden door is the physical/metaphorical door out of the mental estate and to freedom, the arrows are showing them the way to go – the 747 symbolism.

*’A widowed man cuts his throat, The children hide their blood stained coats, As we scream the last goodbye, As the book declares our time’

A widowed man is most likely an elder, linking back to lieseil wanting the older generation to die. The children are fighting in the revolution however they want to hide the evidence in case they are taken away for not being ‘model citizens’. They scream their last goodbye as they begin to get tortured. There’s lots of symbolism of books throughout the storyline, possibly suggesting that knowledge is the true power.
Also, the song ‘last goodbye’ by Billie Boyd contains lyrics suspiciously similar to the storyline, it could have been a possible inspiration.

*”Cause never know what you got, Chasing down the word of God, Oh, oh, oh, yeah, People can’t afford their lives, Dying from the organized, Oh, oh, oh’

Some people follow the word of ‘god’ to find purpose but never end up with fulfillment. This could link to lieseil’s mission of power and wanting to be god but never actually getting any real joy out of it. People cannot afford their lives because society is so expensive – everything is commercialised and before you know it all the expenses add up until you can’t even afford to eat. Therefore they are dying from the organised (e.g lieseil).

*’And as you wait for something more, You find yourself a begging whore, As you cleanse yourself tonight, And wash away the church’s lies’

You’re always waiting for more, society makes you live in the future and never in the present – constantly stuck in a loop of waiting for something new to happen. This results in you constantly begging for more because the present never satisfies you. The church’s lies are connected to lieseil, religion is often represented as a manipulative tactic. The fact that they are cleansing themselves at night links to the point of the revolution happening at night.

*’Addictions are pure, They spill the truth, We share stories of our youth, Lock the key of the key’s door, I’m stuck in silence, hear no more’

The addictions are referencing palaye’s use of the boom boom drug; it spills the truth as the drug makes you do so. Being under the influence of the drug strips you down to your true being, you don’t have the energy to hide parts of yourself. The door is representative of the entrance/exit into the mental estate, the keys could be linked to the blackwell keys. Locking the door is the boys mentally and physically being locked inside the mental estate, slowly going insane; hence the last line.

*’And don’t look back on what you’ve done before, And don’t follow the lines that lead you out the door, Don’t look back at your mistakes, Kids, you only got a few more days’

We think this is from the point of view of either Lieseil or the boys after going insane. They are trying to convince you to not leave the mental estate and not to look back into the past. You only have a few more days until you are captured too.

*’World will be just okay, City lights will fade away, yeah’

This is convincing you that when you get taken away, the world will still be okay and that everything else is normal, even though it is not. The lights fading away stands for the hope fading from society (read more under ‘soft light’ from the ‘symbols’ tab). It could also be from the perspective of someone being taken to the mental estate which is far away from society, hence the lights fading into the distance.
