Nervous Breakdown

*This song takes place during their time in the Mental Estate. They are dealing with all of the experiments given to them by Lieseil, which are an attempt to brainwash them once again.

*They are being tortured mentally and sometimes physically in the estate, causing them to break down relatively frequently – ‘think I’m about to explode, I think I’m about to have a nervous breakdown’.

*’I start to feel myself panic again, when all the blood rushes to my head…gonna have myself another breakdown’ – These lines confirm that the experiments are causing their breakdowns. Having all your blood rush to your head is not a common natural occurrence, meaning that these effects are being done to them through experiments.

*In the mental estate, they are taught that Lieseil is beneficial to them and not harmful. The brothers are able to see through this manipulation, but it has negative effects on them nevertheless. ‘You say you love me but you still left me, I guess that’s why I hate myself’.

*’You say it’s over but you’re still calling’ – connects with the symbol of the phone. We have seen them receiving phone calls from people throughout their discography, most notably in Get Higher. It has been confirmed that Bartholomew Lieseil was the one on the phone, confirming that Nervous Breakdown is written in response to Lieseil.

*The experiments will have a long-lasting impression on the Bastards, though they are still strong enough to see past the brainwashing. This just fuels their need for a revolution even more.
