Hang On To Yourself

*This song is a plea from the Bastards to us to retain our individuality no matter what.

*In the presence of Warhol Stars and Lieseil Inc., they are telling us to either leave and escape their manipulation, or to hang on to ourselves. Our individuality is the greatest weapon against their power.

*’We got love’s electric magic… it’s automatic’ – shows the connection they have found amongst themselves. They figured out that standing with each other is their best chance at fighting, with the power of love for themselves and for others.

*’Fly to the moon’ – a connection to DIAHT. In both songs, this lyric is a representation of hallucinations from the substances used by the powers. The use of this lyric tells us that even this early in the revolution, the Bastards are struggling with substance abuse, whether forced or self-induced.

*With the use of ‘bang bang’ and ‘shoot shoot’, we are led to believe that this song connects back to Massacre, the New American Dream. The guns are representative of Lieseil Inc. x Warhol Stars and their power over the people of Obsidian. As the guns go off, we are ordered to leave or fight back.
