Hospital Beds

*This song is being directed to the revolution, the soldiers of the royal council.

*The lyrics seem to be encouraging someone from the revolution to carry on, as well as consoling them about someone they lost.

*This song teaches a lesson about how death should not be feared. This also ties into a quotation from Emerson’s art – ‘once we become accustomed to the omnipresent possibility of death in life, we greatly feel liberated’.

*The title of this track is a reference to Lieseil Inc. As seen in Nervous Breakdown, each cell has a hospital bed. This insinuates that whoever has been lost had been lost by the hands of Lieseil.

*On May 6, 2020, Palaye Royale announced on twitter that there is another track on The Bastards that we haven’t heard yet. This track is called ‘beds are burning’. We theorise that these beds are the hospital beds in Lieseil Inc. Mental Estate, and that they lit the beds on fire as a way to get back against Lieseil, which was first hinted at in Get Higher and Morning Light. This particular theory was officially reposted by the Palaye Royale twitter, which leads us to believe that we are correct. For more information, see the ‘nervous breakdown’ page in the ‘music videos’ tab.
