My Youth Generation

  • Similar to White, this song is a plea to the citizens of Obsidian to carry on with the revolution, and Palaye are trying to convince them to fight for what they believe in, instead of being sheep to Lieseil and Warhol’s control.
  • ‘That hot air inside your head’ – a reference to Anhedonia. This may correlate with the hot air balloons in Emerson’s artworks. Emerson’s artworks depict imaginary places in his head, however there are still hot air balloons near the islands as a reminder of Lieseil’s omnipotence over Palaye.
  • ‘And piper dancing on your bed’ – possibly a hospital beds lyric link?
  • ‘Let’s not have conversations that just fade away’ – Palaye are begging people to join them on the revolution, and are emphasising that in order for change to happen, they must act.
