• The lyrics of this song depict how the brothers are opening their minds to the world around them.
• They feel that something is off in the old, and that the people around them aren’t behaving how they usually would. 
• They are recovering from the drugs (i.e.: the red drink and anhedonia) that Lieseil has given them, and this is their first step to escaping the mental estate and continuing the revolution. This may be a prequel to Get Higher and Masochist.
• “There’s something in the air tonight”- can be a mention of Anhedonia gas filling the air all over Obsidian Island (shown as hot air balloons in Emerson’s artwork), as well as the line “so medicated”
• Due to our theory of the discography moving backwards through the storyline, it is possible that they have been captured again (possibly the Rag Doll/Doom/Clockwork storyline) and fully brainwashed before this song takes place.
