Get Higher

*Get Higher depicts the Bastards enjoying freedoms of the world, where they are separate from the ties of Lieseil.

*Their living room-type setting has many clues hidden in the background. In the first shot, we see a miniature bathtub, one of the symbols of the connection to Lieseil. We then see clocks, a doll-house representative of Lieseil Inc. Mental Estate, 2 pairs of keys hung up on the wall, soft light in the form of candles, empty picture frames, and a tea set.

*The phone call in the beginning comes from Bartholomew Lieseil, who is most likely attempting to regain Palaye’s trust through manipulation.

*The background used in some of the shots is the same bathroom that Emerson had drawn on in his adolescence. This bathroom as a whole has many hints interwoven through the artwork, some of which can be seen in this video: ‘moonchild’, ‘lines that lead you out the door’, ‘drugs’, ‘terry eyes’, ‘lieseil’, ‘wallflower’, ‘the velvet scream’, ‘high’, and many symbols believed to be part of the Obsidian Cipher such as x, //w and an upside down cross.

*1:06 – We see a close-up of Lieseil’s house which contains white light and smoke, both symbols of his manipulation.

*1:24 – The large clock from Morning Light can be seen in the top left corner.

*1:58 – Emerson lights a match and sets the dollhouse on fire. This is a connection to Morning Light and Nervous Breakdown, fighting back against Lieseil’s manipulative experiments.

*2:39 – In the top left corner we can see the same newspaper as from Morning Light.

*2:45 – The clock with keys instead of numbers can be clearly seen.

*In the last shot of this music video, we see Remington enter a white building. In the next music video, we see Remington enter a white building, which is most likely a continuation of Get Higher.
