Unnamed Female Characters

*Throughout Palaye Royale’s discography, we noticed the use of a ‘she’ – an unnamed female character.

*We theorise that these characters are linked to the female mannequins in You’ll Be Fine.

*These female characters are most likely imaginary friends. They are figments of Palaye’s imagination, a product of hallucination.

*Although we don’t have direct proof, we have theorised about one specific unnamed female character, who we have tentatively called ‘Mrs Infamous’.

*In this theory, Mrs Infamous is a representation of Remington’s femininity; she is a part of him who has been personified to tell the story.

*As Remington started to show more femininity in his childhood, he was unfortunately punished for it by his father, who is represented by Lieseil. In the storyline, Lieseil robs Remington of his identity through experimentation, which mainly removes his feminine side. She is left on the hospital bed after the operation, and Remington is forced to leave her.

*Over time, without Mrs Infamous, Remington is finding no luck on his journey to find himself, and misses her presence in his life. She is names the teenage heartbreak queen, someone who left him in his teenage years just to lie in a hospital bed.

*In the end, Remington regains her as a part of himself in his darkest moment, as we can see in ‘Lonely’.

*This theory is not confirmed at all, but it was a fun idea we had to explain ‘she’ in their lyrics, and we felt that this was worth mentioning!
